A Little Memento of Paris...

Aw, the city of love, light, croissants and industrial steel structures evoking the utmost romance and grace. Show your lover an appropriate amount of affection this holiday with this tiny memento of Pair-ee: an original staircase from the Eiffel Tower (Elément N° 15 De L'escalier de la Tour Eiffel, 1889). It hits the block at Sotheby's Paris on Wednesday, November 26 and is expected to fetch an estimated 40,000 to 60,000 EUR. If you can't swing that, a croissant, café au lait and fresh squeezed OJ in bed are always nice, too.

  1. what a great gift idea ; ) it's so fantastic!

sorta kinda related: richard avedon collected architectural models of staircases...he was obsessed with staircases!...i think it's an excellent obsession.

  2. This is beautiful. A month or so ago, katiedid had a beautiful post of only staircases.

Think I'll have to settle for croissant and cafe au lait this year.
