Women's Fall 2008 Fashion Week: Where Has All the Leather Gone?

Ok, so there have only been two days of shows so far, but from what I've seen, no one seems to be breaking much ground this year.  Regardless of shaking things up, fall is the time to appreciate all the PETA-unfriendly materials and tweeds, most of which have been absent.  In fact, many of the collections (Erin Featherston) look downright springy.  Rachel Roy (one of her looks above), who is always consistent and classy, had some nice ensembles and I love the feather accessories, but that poor model looks like a Chinese foot binding victim in every photo.  I'm adding the things I like to my Style.com lookbook.  Click "previous" to see the recent selections.
